Zollie James Jr. was born January 11, 1955, the Rebecca James and the late Zollie James Sr. in Tuskegee, Alabama.

On May 25, 2025, Zollie James Jr. was welcomed with open arms by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Zollie is preceded in death by his father, sister, Jacqueline Minatee Thompson and his brother Joseph Bailey James "Joe".

He leaves to cherish all his memories with his 3 loving daughters, Anika Florence Hall (Thomas) of Buffalo, NY, Brenda Hunter of Dolton, AL, Destiny Johnson (Dyquan) of Rochester, NY; stepchildren: Johnny Grace, Shanice Alford; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Zollie is survived by his mother, Rebecca James; 3 sisters: Charlene James Weston (Roy), Patricia James, Sheema Butler (Timothy); 4 brothers: Cenny James (Christine), Roy Lee James, Morris James (Kimberly, Maurice James (Annie) and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
