Yolande St. Cyr was born June 6th 1953. She was a daughter of Crystela Herrera. She was the youngest out of 7 siblings.

Yolande was the mother of Jean L. St. Cyr and Vickie L. Boulin. Mother-in-law to Christie Jeune St. Cyr and a grandmother of 10 grandchildren, Samantha St. Cyr, Yonide St. Cyr, Christian-Jean Desty, Crystela Desty, Larson St. Cyr, Fredrick Jean Baptiste, Ruben St. Cyr, Jeremiah St. Cyr, Marcus L. Collins, and the youngest Sheniya St. Cyr.

She came to the United States back in 1975 at the age of 22. She managed to get by life, and helping her family and helping and gave a helping hand to friends who needed shelter or whoever was financially struggling. She was able to do this by starting her very own small business and cooking buy cooking for many local farm workers. she continued this up until 1980 at the age of 27 when she became very sick, having a really bad reaction to an unknown powder substance, because of this she had no income and she lost her trailer. Despite her having these problems, with a little encouragement from a very good friend of hers named Mary, she was able to move forward in life by putting her faith in God. Family and Friends would always describe her as a sweet and caring woman. Many consider her as a very kind hearted person who's very understanding and who's always there to help others in need when she is able to help. During the next couple of years she worked very hard to save enough money to get back on her feet and get her own place again by cooking. She continued to care for her son, two granddaughters and other family members in Haiti, she even began working in the field as a farm worker while still doing a little bit of cooking for extra income and to make ends meet. She used to always tell her friends that it was her dream to bring her son into the United States, and she did just that. In 1993 her firstborn Jean St. Cyr was welcomed into the United States. After that she continued to care for her youngest and only daughter Vickie L. Boulin 13 years of age and her granddaughters in Haiti Samantha St. Cyr and Yonide St. Cyr up until Yolande wasn't able to anymore. February of 2003 Yolande suffered  a severe stroke which left her entire right side paralyzed enabling her to walk again or simply sitting up on her own. Yolande was placed in a nursing home and was there up until she was rushed to the hospital May 23rd, 2019. Despite all the years of hard times and problems she still have strength in her up until she was called home June 17, 2019.
