Woodjerry was born on March 22, 1996, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to his mother, Mlica Joseph and father, Jean Willy Joseph (deceased). He was raised in a loving and supportiv(e community in Haiti that played an important role in shaping his early life. His two older sisters, Wlimide Joseph and Wlica Joseph, also played a special role in caring for him while his mother, Mlica Joseph, was living in the United States.

In 2012, Woodjerry reunited with his mother, Mlica Joseph, and his three siblings, Ruben, Myriam, and Ketura Joseph. This new chapter brought him closer to the family who loved him dearly. Woodjerry was a quiet soul who had his own special way of expressing himself. Although he did not speak, “Ma” was one of the few words he would say. He loved to smile, especially after a good meal. He found joy in his ringing toys, and his claps were a beautiful sign of happiness.

Throughout his 30 years of life, Woodjerry accomplished many meaningful things. He earned his high school diploma from Pahokee Middle/Senior High School and built loving relationships with nurses, CNAs, doctors, his church family, and many others who came to know and love him.His memory will forever live on through his mother, Mlica Joseph; his five siblings, Wlimide,Wlica, Ruben, Ketura, and Myriam Joseph; his seven nieces and nephews, Franciska Gattereau, Amara Aspilaire, Jayce Joseph, Romeo Joseph, Kayden Corriolan, Jayden Corriolan, and Nyamekya Jean; along with his six aunts, five uncles, and 21 cousins.
