Willie Jewel Bennett, was born November 10, 1954 in Belle Glade, Florida to the late Jimmy Gates and Elizabeth Henderson both of Belle Glade. On Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 8:30 pm she peacefully took her rest at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Willie Jewel attended the Palm Beach County Public Schools. She received Christ at a young age. She was a member of House of Prayer of all Nations. She served faithfully until her demise.

She united in holy matrimony to Henry Bennett, Sr. on March 8, 1973. To this union they reared eight children. Willie Jewel was true to her family and the glue that kept things together. She always went above and beyond for the happiness of the family.

Willie Jewel was preceded in death by her sister, Earlene Henderson and grandson, Henry Bennett, III.

Willie Jewel is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Henry Bennett, Sr., one son Henry Bennett, Jr. (Denise) of West Palm Beach, Florida, five daughters, Carolyn Williams (Bobby) of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Kathy Bennett, Dorothy Bennett (Venson), Barbara Bennett (Andrew) of Belle Glade, Florida and Tanisha Bennett (Ekron) of West Palm Beach, Florida. Two nephews raised Vernon McClendon, Sean Henderson both of Belle Glade, FL, one brother Jerome Henderson of Belle Glade, FL, one sister in law, Cora Callahan of Michigan. She cherished twenty grandchildren, Antione Butler, Jr. (Lakeysha), Mark Williams II (Aleisha), Mar'Keisha Williams of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Mar'Kavious Williams of Belle Glade, Florida, Navorous Brock (Janice), West Palm Beach, Florida, Vincent Carr, Jr. Belle Glade, Florida, Tony Gray of (Panama) Vacarra Carr (Anthony) of Orlando, Florida, Kenesha Lott, Khadijah Lott, Henry Bennett IV, Dylan Bennett, Brandon Gracey, of West Palm Beach, Florida, Marlon Ellison, Jr, Dominque Ellison of Belle Glade, Florida, Jakerria Nelson, Jermaine and Jerriah Bowles, of Belle Glade, Florida, Alonzo Jones III, Fabian Preston of West Palm Beach, Florida, DeSean Henderson of Belle Glade, FL, nine great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
