Obituary

In loving memory...

Mrs. Vanetta Faye Cox was born July 6, 1957, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, to the late Lawerence and Doris Johnson. Although she grew up in the "muck" of Pahokee, Florida, she graduated from Martin County High School in Stuart, Florida. Vanetta left her beloved home and followed her oldest brother, Dennis Johnson, to study Business Administration at Clark Atlanta University. She made Atlanta, Georgia her home after college, where she had more than thirty years of government service working for the Internal Revenue Service and Fort McPherson Army Post.

She was an avid learner and entrepreneur. As a self-taught investor, she was able to start two investment companies and was a self-published author. Most of us will remember her as a giver. Her love language was Acts of Service, helping people she loved was paramount. Mentoring was also a big part of her life. She traveled, giving free seminars to people interested in learning more about money.

Vanetta was a woman of God. As an ordained minister, she was a prayer warrior and always had a powerful word to offer healing and encouragement. She had just completed reading the bible in its entirety for the fourth time. She also loved traveling and experiencing new adventures.

She is survived by three daughters: Katrina Craig, Doris Cox, and Natalie Cox. Two grandchildren: Kennedy Craig and Gabriel-Alexander Craig. Three brothers: Henry Johnson (wife Brenda), Todd Johnson, and Eric Johnson (wife Tiffany). And a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
