In Loving Memory of Tina Grant

Tina Grant was born on September 6, 1950, in Okeechobee, Florida, to the late James Johnson and Bernice Johnson. On July 20, 2026, at the age of 75, she peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a lifetime of love, faith, and service.

Tina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elzie Grant, her parents, James and Bernice Johnson, and her sister, Gloria Jean.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Kim Smith, Trotsky Grant, Elzie Grant, and Tremeca Grant. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Tavarus, Virgil, Oliver, Jeremy, Jakai, Josiah, Alexa, Lakota, and Khalani, each of whom brought great joy to her life. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Teresa Hampton and Janet Jones, her brother, Jimmy Johnson, her special niece, Penny Butler, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

For 40 years, Tina faithfully served the Okeechobee County School Board as a Migrant Advocate. She dedicated her career to helping children and families, making a lasting impact on countless lives through her compassion, kindness, and unwavering commitment to her community.

Tina was a faithful and devoted member of First Missionary Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Her faith guided every aspect of her life, and she lived as an example of love, humility, and service to others.

Those who knew Tina will remember her gentle spirit, caring heart, and willingness to help anyone in need. She believed deeply in treating everyone with kindness, and she lived by the simple but powerful motto:

"Treat people how you want to be treated."

Her legacy of love, faith, generosity, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that her life was well lived and her memory will be cherished forever.
