Thomas' Life Story

Time To Be Born
Thomas Garnet Moree was born August 26, 1946 to the late Michael and Georgiann Joseph in Pahokee, Florida.

Time To Grow and Work
Thomas attended East Lake High School. He was an obident and humble child who chose to help hi family and quit school at a young age. He was a migrant farm worker; traveling to Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, and New York.

Time To Worship
Thomas was a devoted member of the Pahokee Church of God until he became a residence of Glades Health Care Center, where he rededicated his life to the Nursing Home Ministry.

Time To Surrender
Thomas gave up the ghost on March 5, 2016 at Lakeside Medical Center at 3:15pm in Belle Glade, Florida. Thomas was a true soldier of God while preparing his soul for this journey. He is preceded in death by his father, Michael H. Joseph; his mother, Georgiann Joseph; brothers, Willie Lee Oliver, Eunice Moree, Author Lee Moree and his sister Jeanie Ware.

Time To Cherish
Thomas memories will be forever cherished by all that knew him; two brothers: Michael H. Joseph, Jr. (Linda) of Pahokee, FL and William Joseph (Bobbie) of Lake Worth, FL; four sisters: Eula Heil of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Nora Stephens, Victoria Watson both of Pahokee, FL and Lillie Mosely (Denorse) of Belle Glade, FL; two uncles: Slyvanus Miller and Osmond Edwards of Pahokee, FL; special friends: Irene Smith, Della Brinson, Cynthia Johnson, Frances Harvey, Short Stick, and Boe Dilly. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

If God Forgot
If God forgot the world for just one day
Then little children would not laugh and play
Birds would not in the woodlands sing
And roses would not beautify the spring.

No gentle showers through the summer long,
No autumn fields to cheer the heart with song,
No rising sun or moon to give it's light,
No placed lakes reflect the stars of night.

No balm of Gilead to dull the throbbing pain,
No one to comfort and the heart sustain.
Millions would die in unforgiving sin
With none to bring the lost and straying in.
Yes, this great universe would melt away
If God forgot the world for just one day.

Around The Corner

Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end;
Yet days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it a year is gone,
And I never see my old friend's face,
For life is a swift and terrible race.
He knows that I like him just as well
As in the days when I rang his bell
And he rand mine; we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men,
Tired with playing a foolish game,
Tired with trying to make a name.
"Tomorrow," I say, "I will call on Pop,
Just to show I am thinking of him."
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And the distance between us grows and grows,
Around the corner, yet miles away-
"Here's a telegram, Pop died today."
That what we get, and deserve in the end-

Acknowledgements
No one knows pain except one who has been
afflicted by it. No one knows sorrow lest he has been
caused to grieve by it and there is no heart that can bear these burdens without the warmness shown by family
