A TIME TO BE BORN:
Thomas Lee Jones was born on December 19, 1948 in Clewiston, Florida to Paul and Annie Jones (Deceased) from Louisiana.
A TIME OF KNOWING HIM:
Thomas was Vietnam Veteran. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1968 after serving his country for 10 years he received an Honorable discharge in 1978. He was always a positive person, willing to help others with anything. Thomas presence brought positive energy whenever he entered a room and always left with a smile. He was a very respectable young man that was built to be a leader and not a follower. Thomas was one that kept to himself with a sweet personality.
A TIME TO LEARN:
Thomas attended Harlem Academy High School in Clewiston, Florida. He graduated in 1966.
A TIME TO ENJOY:
Thomas enjoyed singing…he was member of a singing group in Chicago. He was a member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Reverend Gary McNealy. Thomas participated in the church choir and lead the men choir. Thomas lived one day at a time.
A TIME TO REST:
A time to gain and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to cast away; Thomas departed this life on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at JFK Medical Center South.
A LIFE TIME OF MEMORIES WILL BE CHERISHED FOREVER BY HIS:
(Son) Demetreus T. Jones Sr. (Hattie); (Grandchildren) Demetreus T. Jones Jr.; Tiara Glaze; (Great Grandchildren) Dazani Frazier, Chantz Abrams; (Son) Bryan Jones Sr. (Chicago) (Raquel); (Grandchildren) Bryan Jones Jr.; Riley Jones; (Son) A. Hasan Brown (Atlanta); (Grandchild) SanRi J. Brown. Thomas is survived by three brothers, Paul (Margaret/4 children), Jimmie (Sharon/3 children) and Gary (1 child). Three sisters, Pauline Williams (John/deceased), Faye Roan (Will/2 children) and Mary Pearl Shaw (Larry/4 children). Deceased, Harold (Essie/6 children), Earline McCain (1 child) and Frank (Helen/3 children). And a host of beloved Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
