Tashanti A'nijah Cox was the first of two children born to Carl Cox and Crystal Blackmon on May 9, 2003. In her life time she attended Mary Alice Fortin Center, Rosenwald Elementary, Glades Academy and Glades Central High School. Tashanti was a member of Glades Central High School's Drill Team, Health Science Program and Take Stock in Children. Tashanti was looking forward to graduating May of 2022 and going on to college at Florida A&M University to pursue her nursing degree.

On October 31, 2021 Tashanti entered eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Rudolph & Venita Cox and Ora Lee Blackmon.
