Simon Preston was born to the late James Preston and Katie Goodwin August 11, 1947.

Simon was employed at US Sugar as an equipment operator for 18 years before he retired. Simon found God in 2007 and served as Deacon.

Simon departed this life on May 18, 2024, to be with the Lord. He is preceded in death by his wife Willie Mae Robinson. Three brothers, Harry Kee, Willie James, and David Preston. Two sisters, Louella Johnson, and Ida Whestone.

Before departing this life, he raised Patricia (Elbert), Patricia Hardy, Willie Mae Brown, and Roosevelt Brown of Clewiston, FL; one living brother: Daniel Preston of South Carolina; a special nephew: Daniel Johnson and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
