The clock of life is wound but once, and no man has the power to tell just when these hands will stop. Today is all the time we have. We must work, love, and toil with a will not to depend on tomorrow. For who knows the clock could then be still.

Shirley, affectionately known as Renee departed this earthly life on September 27, 2023. Her life embodied that of a Proverbs 31 woman. Renee was born in Canton, Ohio on September 7, 1965 but, raised in Belle Glade, FL surrounded by her mother Rose Marie, Stepfather Robert, brother Kim and sister Lorraine in a home built on love and faith.  She was Heaven sent, and a joy to all that met her. From a young age, Renee displayed a strong drive to achieve her goals and aspirations.

From just a walk up the street, Renee was born and raised in Glorious Community Holiness Church of Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith Incorporated and, never changed her membership. She was a member of the choir and served in other capacities of the church when called upon. Her early involvement in the church had a profound impact on her faith and her walk with Christ.

Shirley Renee was a member of Glades Central Community High School class of 1983, graduating in the Top five percent of her class. She was accepted to Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). Shirley explored a new horizon and relocated to West Palm Beach, FL but, was still determined to further her education and later graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2009, with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Renee held various professional roles proven to be exceptional and dedicated to her work. She began her career at an export company, and was eventually promoted in her short time there. Renee currently serves as both an Administrative Assistant and a compassionate Case Manager with Palm Beach County Community Services. Shirley leaves behind a legacy of dedication and commitment to her mission. She also had a passion for volunteering, reading, music and cheering on her Miami Dolphins.

In 1984 Renee married the love of her life; Wesley and their union produced 3 beautiful children. Wesley Jr., Julius, and Jazmyne. Wesley and Renee instilled a solid foundation in each of them to love, love one another, and show kindness to the world.

Speaking of love and kindness. If God granted Renee a farewell speech it would read as such; Wesley, the love of my life, you were worth me giving up part of my dream and making you that part. You made being a wife easy. As you scroll along the beach during the early sunrise morning, just look up into the Heavens, and when you feel the sun ray beam down know that's me smiling at you.

Nuk, keep being the humble young man you are and keep taking good care of my grandbabies. Mommy loves you!

JJ, we talked on that day, not knowing what tomorrow held. Keep the conversations going in spirit, knowing that your mom is well. I love you son.

Jazz, my baby girl, had I told you of my transitioning and as intelligent as you are, you still wouldn't have understood THIS ASSIGNMENT. You are the princess Wesley and I prayed for and this has positioned you as the leading lady for the White Family. Mommy loves you.

Roscoe, BARK, BARK and BARK again. Let no one come pass that Miami Dolphin sign at the front door, protect the palace.

Momma, I know you understand more than anyone, because you are a true woman of GOD. I am going to just wait right here in Heaven for you. Thank you and Robert for making me the earthly daughter I was.

Kim, the brother that exemplifies the true meaning of a real man of GOD. I am not worried about momma and Lorraine, because I know you have them. Until we meet again, I love you.

Lorraine, I was the big sister. STOP crying and I hope you took time off your job to prepare for this. You are the only woman I give my babies permission to call mom. Please help my husband with my babies. I love you sis.

To my other siblings, I love you all dearly. Continue to love each other. My sisters-in-law, Doris and Judy, remember the good times we shared. I thank God for placing each of you in my life. The family is going to need your strength to help them.

My SMSC family, remember me and the love we shared, A BOND LIKE NO OTHER. To that magnificent 8 that I can call on for anything, STOP CRYING!! I was the only one who cried when someone said thank you or when someone just held the door open for us. Don't stop what we do, just know that I am with you all, always in spirit. Pepa, I know you didn't want to write my obituary; but you had to do this for me. I know it's beautiful and I am to, thanks.

The class of 1983, I am forever 83. It was of great joy seeing all of your faces at our 40th reunion. I will always cherish you all.

P.S. Before signing off and getting settled into my new Heavenly home, Lena, Angie, Pepa, Lorraine, Lisa, Val, Yvane and April, I hope yall have me on my Red Bottom shoes so I can walk and shout all over these pearly streets. Bye-bye my family and friends for now, I will see you in the morning.

Shirley will join her loved ones in Glory. She is proceeded in death by her father, Mackie L. Davis Sr, stepfather, Robert Bussie Sr. and Sister, Lisa Ann Wiggins.

Renee's memories will live on in the heart of her devoted husband, Wesley White Sr.; children: Wesley Jr., Julius, and Dr. Jazmyne Renee White; Stepson: Wesley White and her loving six (6) grandchildren; Renee will watch over her dear mother, Rose Marie Bussie and her love will expand to her brothers, Kim Moreland (Doris) and Robert Bussie Jr.; and her sister: Lorraine Moreland. Shirley will also be missed by her half siblings: Maxine Beverly Baqueed, Terri Davis Smith (Marvin), Mackie L. Davis Jr. (Sherry), Angela Davis and Mackie Lee Davis III (Tonya); Uncle: Albert Dean Moreland (Paulette); Great Uncle: Arthur Dukes Sr.; Aunts: Ethel Boyd and Alma Moreland; Sister-in-law: Judy White; Special Nieces: Audrey, Taylor, Thelmarcia and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She also leaves to mourn her loving classmates of Glades Central Class of 1983 and her pet baby, Roscoe.
