Savannah Lewis (Minatee) Willis was born on December 24, 1913 in Pelham, Georgia to the late Maude Lewis. She was the second of seven children. Later in life, she met and married Samuel Minatee, Sr (deceased). To this union, four children were born: Samuel Jr., Willer Dean, Voncille and Anderson (Scooter), three of which proceeded her in death.

In 1949,  she and her four children moved to Clewiston, Florida where she met and married Johnny L. Willis (deceased).

She dedicated her life to Christ and became a faithful member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church for over 70 years, she served as an usher, a choir member and Senior Women Mission.

Savannah worked as a cook for Old South Barbecue, Glades Restaurant and Tri-County Senior Feeding Program until she retired. In her free time, she enjoyed family, friends, fishing and quilting.

On January 15, 2021, the Lord saw fit to call Savannah home to receive the rewards of her faithful service.

Savannah leaves to cherish her memories: Daughter, Voncille Burden (John) of Clewiston, FL; Grandchildren, Valerie Minatee, Eva Williams (Lee), Deborah Weekley, Cassandra Marshall (Emmitt), Joseph Williams (Patricia), Linda Weekley-Coleman (Kenneth), Darren Franklin, Roylee James, Aaron Williams (Evelyn), Morris James (Kimberly), Maurice James (Annie), Michael Johnson, Karen Johnson, Celestine Graham, Sheema Butler, John Weekley, John Burden Jr. (Kendra), April White, and Sondra Burden; Two nieces, three nephews, a host of great grands and great-great grands; God-Daughter, Ruby Monroe; Grand God Daughter, Ann Gary; Special neighbors, Carlton Scott (my boy) and Barbara Henry.
