Obituary

Ms. Sarah McBride made her presence known to the world on April 24th, 1930, in Mt. Gilead, North Carolina to the late Lecolia (Lee) McBride and the late Evelyn (Jack) McBride.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother who touched the lives of so many and opened her doors at any time to help others.

To her many families and friends, she was affectionately known as "Ms. Sae".  She was very loving and had a passion for cooking which her family, friends and community enjoyed on countless times and many occasions.  Ms. Sae enjoyed spending her time playing bingo, cards and watching her western and karate movies.  There were times Ms. Sae opened her doors to anyone who needed a meal or a place to stay.  Ms. Sae's place of comfort was on the front porch of her home where she shared her wisdom about life with everyone who met her, no one was a stranger.  Ms. Sae not only raised her children but grandchildren and neighborhood children.  Ms. Sae was always a loving person and in good spirits, we call her OUR MATRIARCH and we are so thankful for God allowing us to honor her life and what she meant to us during her 93rd Birthday Celebration on April 22nd, 2023.

On Sunday, November 19th, 2023 God called his angel Sarah to rest from her labor to her new home in the Estates of The Heavenly Place in the beautiful City of Paradise.  In Celebration of her life, we give honor to God for allowing her to be the Matriarch of our family for several generations.  Ms. Sae will be greatly missed and always remembered.  She is preceded in death by her only sibling, James "Shane" McBride, her children, Mary "Monkey" McBride, Gloria "Punkin" McBride, Kenneth "Red" McBride and her grandchild, Kenneth "Kenny" McBride Jr.

She leaves behind her family who will cherish her fondest memories forever. (daughter) Patricia (John) McNeil of Okeechobee, Florida. A special daughter Lynda Gainer of Ft. Pierce, Florida. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren. A generation of grandchildren. Sarah will be deeply missed by a host of family and sorrowful friends.
