Roosevelt Cannon
December 30, 1945 - May 31, 2026

Roosevelt affectionately known as "Pete"  was born  December 30, 1945, in Hughes, Arkansas, to the late Eddie Lee Cannon and Callie Cannon. He was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent over 50 years in agriculture, serving as a Crew Leader and Bus Driver with the late James "Bubba" McNeill. His strong work ethic, commitment to his community, and love for his family left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

On May 31, 2026 the Heavenly Father called him home to rest. Pete was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory, His wife, Georgia Mae Cannon, his children:Terri Tate of West Memphis, Arkansas;  Barbara Mosely (David) and Willa Brackett (Jerry) both of Flint, Michigan. JraQuanda Coney, Maurice Coney, Byron Eastmond, and Tory Coney, all of South Bay, Florida; He is also survived by his beloved siblings: Ida "Nancy" Bailey  of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Gloria Jean Holden of Detroit, Michigan; Shirley Pauline Owens of Thomasville, Alabama; Sister-in-law Shirley Coney of Sun City, Florida; and Brother-in-law Roger Coney (Renee) of South Bay, Florida.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Lee and Callie Cannon; Brother: Willie James Cannon; Sister: Eddie Lee Porter; Brothers-in-laws: James Porter; Larry Holden; Nease Owens; and George Bailey; He also leaves behind a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. Among those who held a special place in his heart were his grandchildren, Major Williams and Dcjountalay "Grandbaby" Coney.

Roosevelt "Pete" Cannon will be remembered for his dedication, strength, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. Though he is no longer with us in body, his legacy and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." His memory will be cherished forever.
