Robert Lee Simmons was born August 15, 1965 to the late Ira D. and Mary Nell Simmons. He was raised in Belle Glade, Florida, and the oldest of three children. Robert was educated in the Palm Beach County School System and graduated from Glades Central Community High School. Robert worked the majority of his life as a truck driver and drove for a number of notable companies in the South Florida area until his retirement.

Robert was united in holy matrimony to Felicia M. Thornton for over 31 years and together they made their home in West Palm Beach, Florida. Robert and Felicia created an infinite amount memories full of love, life, and laughter.

On May 9, 2022 Robert heard the Master's call to retire from his labor to enter into eternal rest. He answered the Master's call and was greeted by his parents, relatives, and friends.

Robert leaves behind a loving and devoted wife Felicia Thornton Simmons. Fur babies Tank, Ted, and Penny; like a son Roy Webb, Jr. of West Palm Beach, Florida; one brother Frank Lee (Diandra) Simmons of Deltona, Florida; one sister Mary Simmons Fleurentin of Jacksonville, Florida; four sister- in- laws Delphine (Michael) Thomas, Judi Grandison, Carlene (Nathaniel) Webb, and Sharlene Thornton all of Belle Glade, Florida; one brother-in- law Michael Thornton of Woodbridge, Virginia; one aunt Mary Ann Francis; a close cousin and friend Eric Lane and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
