Mr. Robert Lee Benjamin Sr. Was born in Belle Glade, Florida on September 21, 1955 to the late Mr. Nick Benjamin Sr. and Mrs. Minnie Lee Wilson-Benjamin, both proceeded him in death.

Robert departed this life on November 20, 2021 at Lakeside Medical Center in Belle Glade, Florida.

He attended Glades Central Community High School graduating with the Class of 1974. Robert was proud to be a Raider, he followed every football game near or far until his demise.

Robert was a hard worker from his senior year in high school where he worked at the Belle Glade Holiday Inn as a dishwasher and table cleaner. He was a seasonal worker where his parents were migrants, traveling from Virginia and New York. Robert was employed for many years at Allied Helicopter in South Bay, Florida, traveling to Michigan. He also worked at Glades A.G. Service and Aerial Crop Protection in Belle Glade, Florida.

Robert met and married Valecia Williams-Benjamin on February 17, 1979 with to this union 7 children was born. He had an older daughter Tamekia Benjamin.

He leaves to mourn his wife Valecia Benjamin; his children: Tamekia Benjamin, Tawanna Benjamin, Shakeica Benjamin, Robert L. Benjamin Jr., Veronica Benjamin, Sharria Benjamin, Raquel Benjamin, Rikeria Benjamin, Rakheem Benjamin, Ra'Heem Benjamin, Rasheema Benjamin, Renardo Benjamin, Deante Crawford; four brothers: Nick & Shirley Benjamin, Millage & Remonda Benjamin, Detriot, MI, James Benjamin Lewisville, TX, Willie & Mildred Benjamin (preceded in death), Belle Glade, FL; two sisters: Catherine Crawford & Elder James Crawford (preceded in death), Detroit, MI, Dianna & Charles Anderson, Belle Glade, FL; two sister-in-laws: Emma Jean Givens, Dorothy J.Esteven (Lex) both of Belle Glade, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and coworkers.
