Oscar Hernandez
1931-2018
Oscar Hernandez was born to Lorenzo and Elena Hernandez on May 5, 1931. He lived in Cuba until he moved to Miami, Florida where he lived for three years and was employed by Talisman Sugar Company driving heavy farming equipment. Oscar moved to New Hampshire where he continued to work within the farming industry for nine years. Oscar soon returned to Florida to resume his work with Talisman Sugar Company.
After returning, Oscar later met and married Gladwyn on August 19, 1993. Oscar and Gladwyn worked together at Talisman Sugar Company until they retired. Oscar Hernandez was a very hard worker. Family and friends knew him as a man that loved his family and friends. He was very hospitable and love to feed anyone who visited his home. Oscar loved to help others and was willing to give a helping hand whenever he could.
On March 29, 2018 Oscar departed his earthly life. He is preceded in death by his parents Lorenzo and Elena Hernandez; one son: Miguel Hernandez; brother: Francisco Hernandez; sisters: Lidia Hernandez and Margarita Hernandez.
Oscar leaves cherished memories with his loving wife: Gladwyn Skeete-Hernandez of Belle Glade, FL; his son: Oscar Hernandez Jr. of Belle Glade, FL; daughter: Isabel Hernandez of Cuba; step-daughter: Paquese Cobbs of Florida; one brother: Lorenzo Hernandez (Norma) of Sebring, FL; one sister: Amanda Hernandez of Havana, Cuba; his five grandchildren: O'Cara Hernandez, Oscar Hernandez III, Laquese Roker, Christopher Roker, Bobby Bell; one great grandchild: Nakinece Hawkins and a host of nieces, nephews, family, other relatives and friends.
