Olivia Cooper Padgett was born November 24, 1949 in Tavares, Florida to the late Vivian Cooper.
Olivia, affectionately known as Libby to family and friends, received her education from Lake County School District, where she graduated from Eustis Vocational High School in 1967. After graduation, Olivia earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification and began her first job at Waterman Memorial Hospital in Eustis, Florida as a CNA.
In 1985, she met Nathaniel Padgett Sr. After two years of courtship, Olivia and Nathaniel joined in Holy Matrimony, in 1987. After this union, Olivia and her kids relocated to Belle Glade, Florida. Olivia was employed for 22 years for The Palm Beach County Health Department until retiring in 2011. After retirement she began to live her best life. She enjoyed being around her family and loved to travel.
Olivia recognized the need for a Savior. She was converted and joined The Inspirational Church of God in South Bay, Florida under the leadership of Pastor Leroy G. Carroll, Jr. Sister Padgett was an active member in the Women Ministry and the Mass Choir until her demise.
On February 6, 2020, surrounded by family and friends Olivia "Libby" Padgett entered eternal rest. She finished her course and now she's dancing in the streets of gold with loved ones who preceded her in death; which includes her mother and brother, Mark E. Cooper. What a grand reunion!
Olivia leaves cherished memories with her husband, Nathaniel Padgett Sr.; (3) loving daughters: Enrika Cherie McClain (Hilton), Demille Lynelle Welch (Arthur) and Shalonda Deanna Allen (Omar); (1) stepson: Nathaniel Padgett Jr.; (2) sisters: Cynthia Hogan and Cleo Brown (James Scott); (2) brothers: Mathew and Oliver Cooper; (18) grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; (1) aunt: Irene Sharpe of Lakeland, FL; Olivia also leaves her best friend: Lorine Woodfolk (Tommy) and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and her church family.
