Born to Viola Washington and husband James Wallace in Pahokee, FL. Olent was a lifelong resident of Belle Glade, Florida where she was educated in the public school system and was a member of class of '72. She was employed in her early years as an agricultural laborer before becoming an insurance agent and later beginning a career in healthcare. She was employed by Glades General Hospital and Everglades Memorial Hospital and was affectionately known to her coworkers as "Lynn".

She was proceeded in death by her mother Viola Washington-Long, Father: James Wallace; Maternal Grandmother: Clara Clark; Maternal Sisters: Velda Wallace, Cynthia LaVonn Wallace;  step-father: Carlton Long.

She leaves to mourn her passing a loving family to include: Her only child: Carla Harris-Dunbar (Michael); Grandson: Dashon Henderson; Niece: Deliliah Wallace- Nonar (Jesse); Paternal Siblings: Zelda Scott (Harlem, NY) Anthony Mills, Donnell Wallace (Utica, NY); Special Nieces/Nephews: Jessaurius Wallace, JeCynthia Nonar, Jasmine Nonar, JaKavion Nonar, Veneise Woods; God Brother: Vincent Woods, Ernest Woods Jr.; Bonus grandchildren: Zanobia Dunbar & Michael Dunbar Jr; Close friend: Johnnie Harris (Carla's father), Maxine Fletcher.
