Mother Ola Mae Dixon was born in Waynesboro, Georgia on May 10, 1929 to the late Mr. James Abrams Sr. and Mrs. Amanda Walker- Abrams.  Mother Dixon journeyed to Bean City, Florida along with her husband of 40 years, Deacon Marvin Dixon Jr. (Who preceded her in death). Through their holy union, they were blessed with eleven children.

Later, she relocated to South Bay, Fl until she was called to rest on January 7, 2021. Mother Dixon lived a life of fulfillment. She was a Prayer Warrior and loved singing. Her favorite song composed by her was "Don't Let the Devil Ride." She enjoyed attending church and was a pillar in the community. She was well-known for cooking her favorite dishes, such as, collard greens, fried corn bread and sweet potato bread. Mother Dixon was very observant and attentive to the need of others, whereas she created her own neighborhood watch program (family insider). Mother Ola Mae received her spiritual teachings and built her church home at Greater Union Missionary Baptist, South Bay, FL under the leadership of Pastor Charlie E. Reese. As a member she was active and chaired several committees. A tremendous void has been left, in which can only be filled with loving memories.

Mother Dixon had numerous names she was affectionately called "Plunk,' 'Red,' 'and 'Gator' which she answered to all her loving nicknames. There were many gatherings "under the tree' children at play, grownups playing card games and dominoes. Hot meals were shared along with great conversations and laughter. Mother Dixon would sit on the front porch enjoying family and friends with a smile on her face 'under the tree.'

She leaves cherished memories forever in the hearts of her loving family including three daughters, Dr. Willie Mae Richardson, of Miami, Fl. Mildred Smith of South Bay, FL and Cynthia Graham, A very dedicated Son-in- Law George Graham of Clewiston, Fl. Three sons: J.D. Dixon (Mamie) of Atlanta, Ga Marvin Dixon III, Melvin Dixon Sr. Both of South Bay, Fl. Five children who preceded her in death: Marjorie Thompson, Rosetta Elliott, Emauel Dixon, Jearldine Jones and Tracy Dixon Sr.

Thirty-three grandchildren: Arneatrice Richardson, Jeffery Richardson, Melanie Richardson, David Pace, Tara Smith, Octavious Smith, McArthur Glaze, Billy Wade Jr., John Elliott, Camieka Elliot, Nicole Elliott, Marquinita Elliot, Levoris Foster, Marvin Dixon IV, Brandon Dixon Sr. George Graham III, Germonte Graham, Artesia Graham, Melvin Dixon Jr., Felicia Smith, Einisha Dixon, Tracy Dixon Jr., Tavaris Dixon, Nicole Lane, Martel Dixon, Mckenzie Dixon, Shantrella Dixon, Jaykeisha Dixon, Javarum Dixon, Tavarum Dixon, Johnathan Dixon. Two who preceded her in death: Angela Pace and Takilia Dixon. Seventy-Seven great-grandchildren and Twenty great-great grandchildren.

Her siblings consist of five sisters: Fannie Johnson of South Bay, Fl., Minnie Pearl Styles, Mary Lou Robinson, Christine Chandler (Eugene), of Waynesboro, Ga. Preceded her in death Bertha Bowleg. Five brothers: John Abrams (Elma) of South Bay, Fl, Joseph Abrams of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Proceeded her in death James Abrams Jr., Willie C. Abrams, Judson Abrams. A special sister-in-law Lillie Gibson, Miami, Fl and Jean Dixon of Boston, Ma. One brother-in-law Joe Dixon and a host of other relatives and friends.
