Deaconess Norma Jean Ford-Potts, born on August 21st 1964 to the late Mary Alice Ford & Norman Yarns in the cherished community of Belle Glade Florida.

Deaconess Potts was a spirit-filled Christian and devoted servant of the Lord. Her spiritual journey began at a young age in the First Born Church of the Living God (FBC), where she developed a deep and abiding love for scripture, worship, and service during youth fellowship days. Rooted in faith from the very beginning, she rose to become a guiding presence within the First born church—respected, beloved, and admired for her unwavering dedication as the District Field Worker of the West Palm Beach district. Her life stood as a radiant testimony to God's grace, and her legacy continues to echo in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

On July 3rd, 2025, God missed her voice in His courts, so He reached down and lifted her from earth's choir to heaven's throne room.

Deaconess Potts was a proud graduate of Glades Central Community High School, Class of 1964—a class she represented with enduring pride throughout her life. Her commitment to hard work and excellence was evident in her professional journey. She dedicated 25 years of service to Lowenstein Inc., where she was known for her diligence and kindness. She later continued her career at Adler and Hahn Gastro Health, where she worked for 16 years, earning the respect and affection of colleagues and patients alike.

Her life reflected her deep Christian faith, her love for family, and her unwavering dedication to those around her. Norma will be remembered for her warm heart, her steadfast spirit, and the grace with which she touched the lives of so many.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Alice Ford and Norman Yarns; her sisters, Edith Ford, Valerie Ford, and Latonia Hunt; and her brother, Danny Brown. Today, she leaves to cherish her memory three children: Dominique Ford, Dominic Potts, and Samayia Potts; one grandchild, Luna McPherson; her sisters, Corma Maddie (George), Tarangela Ford, Dorma Mullins (Lamar), Luetreasie Brown, Shirley Jordan (Randy), Glenda McPherson (Ervin), and Debra Martin (James); her brothers, Davey Ford (Patricia), James Brown (Mary), Tony Brown (Pearline), Larry Brown (Linda), Alfred Brown (Brenda), Ronnie Brown Sr, Alphonso Inman, Norman Yarns Jr and Roger Baker; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; a special nephew, Lemanuel Fitzgerald; a special niece, Tiffany McGrew (Marvin); Godchildren: Henri Crockett, Zachary Crockett, Zeffery Clark, Javarii Lucas, Norrisa Bass, Latavia Lewis, and Patrick Morgan. Special bond with nephew James Joseph Jr.; Special Sisters; Alice McMath, Gale Nelson (Ishmael), Mary Sanders-Morgan (Everton); Bonus Tribe: Auriel Williams, Taneka Carr, Ashley Law, Jasmine Powell, Mashun James-Swann and Aaron Bennett and a beloved host of relatives and friends whom she loved dearly.
