On Monday September 16, 2019, Nora Lee Stephens departed this earthly life surrounded by her loving family. Her battle was won and her father in heaven called her home. She was born September 21, 1952 to the late Thomas G. Moree and Georgia Ann Joseph in Pahokee, Florida.
Nora Lee grew up in Pahokee, Florida and studied at East Lake High School. In later years she would move to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There she would join the House of God Miracle Temple Church of God, under Pastor C.D. Readon. Her voice was well known in the choir, as she loved to sing. She married the late David Stephens in Dania Beach, Florida. Later she would return back to Pahokee where she joined Church of God and Christ with Bishop Bud Mickins. Being back home, she would showcase her many talents. One especially with the gift of cooking. Nora Lee would cook and feed everyone in the neighborhood. She would never turn anyone away. Her laugh will be remembered, and her smile will never be forgotten. Although she is resting with her heavenly father she will be missed dearly.
Nora Lee is preceded in death by her parents Georgia Ann Joseph & Michael Joseph, her sister Jeanie Ware, brothers Willie Lee, Thomas (Pop) Author Lee and Earnest.
She is survived by her three sisters, Eula Heil of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Victoria Watson (Ann) of Pahokee, FL, Lillie Mae Mosley (Denorse) of Belle Glade, FL; Two brothers: William Joseph (Bobbie Jean) of Lake Worth, FL and Michael Joseph (Linda) of Pahokee, FL; One Aunt: Aunt Sweet; Two uncles: Syv Miller and Osborne Edwards; A special cousin, Diane Jenkin, niece, Valerie Wells and friend, Mary Ann Brown. Along with a Godson Duggie and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
