Obituary

The Beginning

On a cool and breezy summer morning, June 23, 1937, two bundles of joy Mizella and Ezella entered the world and into the life of their parents the late Vester Roland Tate, Sr. and Virtress Arline Tate.  One of the bundles of joy was named Mizella Tate, affectionately known as "MaDear." She lived her life in Clewiston, Florida surrounded by her siblings Ezella Tate, (deceased) Sylvester R. Tate, Jr. (deceased), Lester Tate (deceased), Luevina Tate (deceased), Wayne L. Tate (deceased), Russell L. Tate, Alfonza Tate (deceased) and Eugene Tate.
Her Life and Legacy
Mizella received her formal education in Palm Beach County Public Schools, where she graduated from Everglades Vocational High School. Before retiring, she worked diligently for Florida Department of Labor and Community Affairs as a Health Care Advocate. Mizella was an elegant, lively, caring person with a vivacious and bold personality. She can truly be defined as someone with an infectious smile who loved flowers and people. This could be displayed in the flower she always wore in her hair and the enthusiasm and devotion she had for ministry and evangelism. Through good and bad she stood firm in her faith and stood as a mighty prayer warrior. As much as she loved the Lord, she also loved and was devoted to her family and friends. In October 1957, she became the twinkle of John Windley's eye and she was the pep in his step. Together they had three children Ronald, Teri, and Adrian. In 1983, John went to be with the Lord.
The Last Call
On January 10, 2021, in the cool and quietness of the evening, her work was completed, and her journey ended. God gave her entry into her new heavenly home, and Mizella departed her earthly home. She will always be remembered as a lighthouse who has served well.
Left to cherish her memories are: her children Ronald K. Windley, Sr., Teri D. Watts, and Adrian L. Windley.
Her siblings: Russell Tate and Eugene Tate.
Her grand-children: Octavia Windley-Walker, Bakari Windley, Alicia McPherson,
Marcia McPherson, Ronald Windley, Jr. and Jalisia Watts.
Her great-grandchildren: Octavia Walker, Sarah Walker, Ronald Windley, III,
Yahziyah Windley, Yeremayah Windley, Hazayah Windley, Ariyal Windley,
Shiloh Windley, Larkin Walker, Taliyah Jackson, and Skye Windley.
Her goddaughters: Cora Casey and AnnMarie Rios. Also left to celebrate her life
and memories, are her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
