MC's Farwell Ride
MC Edwards Sr., 81, of Clewiston, FL, passed away on June 21, 2025.
MC Edwards Sr. was born on July 2, 1943, in Dawson, Georgia, to Lula Pearl Hallback and AC Edwards. He was lovingly raised by his late father, Willie Jones.
He is survived by his siblings: Ossie "Suga Mama" Jones-Grant (Willie), Jimmy Edwards (deceased), Merle Edwards (deceased), Merlin Edwards, Willie Forest- Hallback (deceased), Alphonso "Roster" Hallback, and Louise Murray.
In 1995, MC met Devon Lowery-Edwards, and together they blended their families and raised 28 children: Calvin Edwards (deceased), Gerald Edwards (Shelia), Jeffery Edwards (Michelle), Anthony Williams Sr., Marvin Edwards, Bradley King, Simon Edwards (deceased), Tabitha Edwards (deceased), Harrison, Tammatha Edwards, Teresa Edwards, Catissa Edwards, Cornelius Edwards, Ruben Edwards, Roxie Edwards, MC Edwards Jr., John Edwards, LulaPearl Edwards, Detrick Pass, Lawanda Pass, Sherease Pass, Terrius Pass (Sharon), Harley Edwards (Jessie Jr.), Aundra Williams Jr., Audrey Williams, Andranita Williams, Takeva McIntyre, Tameka Lowery, and Andrea Williams. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
MC was a shining light of humor and a major piece of his family's puzzle. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, riding his motorcycle And bicycle, watching WWE and Walker, Texas Ranger, playing cards and dominoes, and dancing. Aside from being a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend, MC was a faithful servant of God. He touched countless hearts and helped many people throughout his journey on this earth. His legacy lives on through his wife, children, and grandchildren.
MC loved his career and proudly retired this year after 66 years of dedicated work.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Pearl Hallback; father, AC Edwards; stepfather, Willie Jones; brother, Jimmy Edwards; sister, Merle Edwards; sons Calvin and Simon Edwards; daughter, Tabitha Edwards; grandson, Nathan Edwards; and mother-in-law, Betty Pope.
