Mary Elizabeth Carridis was born on December 14, 1941 to the late Edward Abramson and Mary Pickering in St. Thomas, Virgin Island. She was raised by the late Thomas and Eugenia Benjamin where she migrated to Philadelphia and spent most of her childhood years to young adulthood. Mary relocated to Belle Glade, Florida in 1969.

Mary was a dedicated and hard worker. She dedicated thirty years to United States Sugar Corporation and retired in 2000.

Mary was known for her feisty, yet a good sense of humor, outgoing, and willing to help others. She loved to fish. Mary found the good in all people. She had a good heart that was pure as gold and a smile that would make your heart melt. Those that knew her were touched by her existence. Mary was a great friend, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She gracefully bragged about her family all the time and devoted to the people she cared about.

Mary was granted her angel wings on September 2, 2016 at 0213 hr after 3 years of fighting medical illness. She fought a good fight. Mary final days were spent surrounded by family and friends of the family that she had touched in some small way throughout her life.

Her memory will be cherish by: one daughter, Dorothy Williams of West Palm Beach, FL; Four Grandchildren: Tequila Shon Walker (Darrin) of West Palm Beach, FL; Kenneth Lewis (Natasha); Thomas (Puffy) Williams (Michelle) of Boynton Beach, FL; and Michael Williams of Jacksonville, FL; Sixteen great grandchildren, two nephews and a host of friends
