Kind, full of FUN AND LAUGHTER, handsome (which runs in the blood of all Dukes men), and having a strong love for his family and friends.
Marvin Dukes entered this world on December 31, 1966 born to Marvin Douglas Dukes Sr. and Barbara Ann Smith. He later went to live with his aunt and uncle (Mom and Dad) Eddie James and Pauline Owens. He resided in Belle Glade, Florida. Marvin was educated at Glade View Elementary, Lake Shore Middle School, and Glades Central Community High School where he graduated in the class of 1984.
Marvin attended Morris Brown College but later returned to Belle Glade, working as a correctional officer at Glades Correctional Institution. He later became a truck driver in the transportation industry.
Marvin was known to his family and friends as the one who kept everyone laughing. He loved and enjoyed his family and friends immensely. Marvin will be deeply missed by his daughter MarQuesha Lee Clark of Massillon, Ohio; granddaughter, Nyla Symone Coleman of Massillon, Ohio; Wonderful Parents: Marvin Douglas Dukes Sr. (preceded in death) Barbara Ann Smith (preceded in death) and stepmother Edith Dukes of Mount Dora, Florida, Eddie James and Pauline Owens (preceded in death); Four sisters: Gaynell Culler (Hercules) (preceded in death),  Loretta Flowers (Glasco) of Belle Glade, Florida, Tequesta Dukes of Apopka, Florida, Terrylon Dukes Luctmar (preceded in death); 4 Stepsisters: Ruthie Dawson, Tammy Dawson both of Mount Dora, Florida, Keturah Dawson of Eustis, Florida, Twanda Dawson of Georgia; Four Brothers: Willie Frank Owens (Lucinda) of Canton, Ohio, Clarence Federick and Andrew (Andy) Harrell both of Belle Glade, Florida, Robert Gibbons of Atlanta, Georgia; Special Uncle: Arthur Dukes of Belle Glade, Florida; Special Cousins: Melvin Dukes, Kim Moreland, Louise Cannon; Special Childhood Friend: Charles Butler. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. Gone but will never be forgotten. "Duke Boogie"
