A Time to Be Born

Mario Carlton Hatcher was born on December 18, 1976, to Brenda Frazier and Bobby Hatcher in Pahokee, Florida.

A Time to Live

Mario began his life in South Bay, Florida. He moved to Belle Glade, Florida as a young man. He attended and graduated from Glades Central High School. After graduating high school, he attended Bethune Cookman College. He then enlisted in the Army and was stationed in South Carolina. He then moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he met and married Melvarie Monita Morrison.

Mario loved life and spending time with family and friends. Those who knew Mario well, and was very close to him, knew him as “Cigar King”. He will be deeply missed. He was employed with Merchants Export, Inc. in Riviera Beach, Florida.

A Time to Die

On Wednesday, July 29,2026 at 8:40 pm God dispatched His angel to Broward Health Medical Center and called Mario Carlton Hatcher to his final resting place. Mario departed this life, leaving a legacy of love and memories. Heavy as our hearts maybe, we all know God makes no mistakes.

Mario leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Melvarie Monita Hatcher of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his mother Brenda Willingham-McNeal and step-father James McNeal of Pahokee, FL; three brothers, Calvin Spencer (Claudella) of Port St Lucie, FL; Antonio Frazier (Natashia) of Royal Palm Beach, FL; Willie Lee Willingham Jr. of Pahokee, FL; a special sister, Marquita Osborne of Wellington, FL; mother-in-law, Yvonne McGregor of England; two step-daughter, Jodene Cooper and Kelliecia Case both of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two step-sons, Rushane and Jadain Morrison both of Jamaica; nine aunts, Josephine Sims (Ronald) of South Bay, FL; Gloria Robinson (Purvis) of Pahokee, FL; Nicy Fuller of Tallahassee, FL; Patricia Jacques (Jerome) of South Bay, FL; Queen Dale Skeete (Peter) of Port St Lucie, FL; Betty Bell (David) of Royal Palm Beach, FL; Jacqueline Lindsay (Anthony) of Kissimmee, FL; Michelle Pierce (Allen) of Port St. Lucie, FL; June Frazier of Nassau, Bahamas; two uncles, Solomon Frazier Jr. (Faye) of Wellington, FL; Harrington Frazier (Margaret) of Nassau, Bahamas; two niece Briana Martin (Rashad) of Kissimmee, FL; Illyria Spencer of West Palm Beach, FL; two step-grandchildren, Jhem and Kassidy; special cousins, Harrington Fuller, Veronica Craig, Jason Mills, Odvil Frazier, Akel Clark III, One sisters-in-law New Jersey, three brother-in-law of Ft. Lauderdale, Brother-in-law in Canada and one in Jamaica; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
