Marie Stanley entered into this life on November 27, 1935 in Dublin GA, Laurens County. She caused her mom, Gladys Carswell great joy. Later Glaydys gave birth to James Oneal West Palm Beach, FL and Georgie Mayes West Palm Beach, FL. Years later Gladys met and married Felton Carswell. From that union came Floyd Carswell West Palm Beach, FL, Felton Carswell Jr., West Palm Beach, FL, Lynwood Carswell Belle Glade, FL, Patricia Slydell West Palm Beach, FL, Danny Earl Carswell (deceased).

Marie always had a genuine love for people, and as the old saying goes her love started at home. She helped her mom raise most of her siblings, and countless family members and friends knew that her doors were always open. Marie believed in being active in her community and her children's lives. She was active in the NAACP, her church, and the community schools. After she retired from Motorola, she was a volunteer grandmother for over 15 years at Pioneer Park Elementary. She truly epitomized what God says we are to be (Lovers of him and people).

Marie met Sam in 1949 and fell really hard. They were married in 1953. From their union came, Gail Wheeler (deceased), Wayne Stanley (Amy) Columbus, OH, Brenda Cain (Keith) Belle Glade, FL, Benita Derico-Owen (Ashton) Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Sharvishia Zeigler, Roswell, GA, Gwen Calloway South Bay, FL, and Cynthia Sims (Otis) Atlanta, GA. She grew really rich in love with the arrival of her grandchildren: Natasha Coast, Dimitrious Stanley (Jessica), Demale Stanley, Tanisha Thomas, Brentoya Burgess (Leon), Alvineka Mayes, Michael Stanley (Iker), Rashad Derico, Roshumba Wheeler, and Mya Zeigler. Her love has no bounds, because she has a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that loved her dearly. As always, God loves her most.
