Ludie V. Blackmon was born on April 29, 1940, to the union of Andrew Hardnett and Jennie Lou Weaver Hardnett in Molena, Georgia.

She was employed with A. Duda & Sons, Inc. for over twenty years until her retirement, working faithfully and diligently throughout her career.

Ludie was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Jennie Hardnett; her husband, Richard Eugene Blackmon; her son, Charlie Ed Blackmon; her brothers, Roger Hardnett and James C. Hardnett; her sisters, Louise H. Bryant, Emma Trice, and Zenobia Loveless; and her daughter-in-law, Veronica Blackmon.

She will forever be cherished by her children: Richard Eugene Blackmon Jr., Jeffery Lynn Blackmon, and Willie Floyd (Carla), all of Belle Glade, FL; her four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Ludie is also survived by one sister, Addie Belle Puckett (Henry) of Griffin, GA, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will always treasure her memory.

Her spirit, strength, and love remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
