Logan's Life Story
It is often said, "Why the good go so soon?" WHY?
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Godly ones. Psalm 116:15
Logan Micah Johnson was born July 23, 1999, in Wellington, FL, full of life
and ready to explore the world. Parents Andre and April thought it would be
robbery not to share their bundle of joy with others. Therefore, Logan had 2
sets of Godparents. He was reared in Belle Glade and Royal Palm Beach, in
the home of his parents and brother Drequion. Logan attended public schools
in Palm Beach County. He was a Glades Central Raider for a short time but
graduated from Royal Palm Beach High as a Wildcat with the class of 2018.
Logan was a member of the football team (cornerback) and often bragged
about being good. He was also a member of the track and field team and stood
out like a high-beam light.
Logan was given several nicknames describing his character around his loved
ones and friends. "Slog" was the first one (Auntie Pep) when he was 2 years
old. At age 20, he was given the name "Dawggy" by his "Grooming Crew"
because of his passion for winning and helping others win. He grew from a
mischievous little boy to a selfless young man; he even became a great father.
Acts 20:35 (KJV) says, "I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye
ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he
said, It is more blessed to give than to receive." Logan had a heart of gold and
loved helping others. His generosity knew no bounds. He was Not only
generous in life, but also in death as an organ donor, saving the lives of four
people. His radiant smile lit up any room he entered. Logan loved his family
and his homies and asked God to allow him to share a last word with them
before his heavenly transition.
"Mommy, as I call you when I am serious, our last conversation, did you
notice we didn't argue, I did!! Wipe that tear and hold your head up. You did
a great job with being patient with me. I listened and I cried too when you
thought your preaching was in vain. I call out to Jesus and you that early
morning. You felt me but He heard me. I am well ma and I love you. Oh, I
know you have me looking Good, Good. Dad, nobody understood our
relationship, but us and God. You treated me just like Jesus, you never left
me. Together we were about 91⁄2 feet tall but we stood strong. Take the family
and don't let Ghost rule you. Dre, Dre, Dre... I never could figure out why I
was so small and you so big. Well now I know, you are going to have to carry
the role of 2; an uncle for my Ju and a father. So dry your face and man-up
bro, I love you and you know it. Grandma, your prayers were answered. I
made it home safely, my heavenly home. I love you. Auntie Yuane or should I
say my 2nd mom. I appreciated everything you did for me. I know I owe you
but, let's be realistic, would I have ever been able to repay you... thanks.
Uncle Scooby, without you there would've not been my big cuz. Jay, I love you
and will forever watch you all from above. Joy, God has control over
everything, we don't make mistakes. Our time together please Cherish it, I
love you. Uncle Steve, I am rejoicing because you are thinking right now what
to do to keep the family comforted and calm during this time. Thank you.
Tevin "T", Will, PJ and James, I appreciate the lectures, the pullers, and the
yard just because. I thank God allowing us to bond like brothers. I love you
all. My gaming crew Shai, Brickz, Jay, BJ, and Colby, just knows my
controller is just on pause. I am with you all in spirit. VJ, my protégé... I will
miss you. My brothers from other mothers Drew, Ty, Ben, Luck, Pookie and
Jamz, you all already know. Ronnie, Jeremiah, and Hydeia, no you all were
not my momma, but I love you all, and stop crying. To the Birthday Club,
keep taking care of my momma. Kennedy and Demi, look out for Logan Jr.
Jalani, I left all my Cash App and DoorDash info with Dre, you're good. Big
Ole, thank you all for helping my momma with me, she needed it. The SMSC,
I love you all and my other families, Ms. Terry and Shawn, thanks for giving
me a chance. Katrina, I will always value your friendship. Thanks friend.
Lastly, Destini and Logan Jr., our short time together was priceless. God
allowed me 6 months with my son. We hug, laughed, cried and bond like no
other. All I can say is God you was good to me when I didn't deserve it.
Thanks Destini for helping raise something with my family and the world that
when they see him they see me. I love you. Entering the gates of heaven is the
greatest gift of all but, entering it with my brother at my side is GLORIOUS.
Let's go Glo. There's a time for everything, a time to be born, a time to die,
and a time to speak; MY FATHER HAS SPOKEN.
Logan leaves to cherish his precious 25 years of life his loving parents, Andre
and April Johnson. His bouncing baby boy, Logan Johnson Jr. Brothers
Drequon (Keisha) and Andre Johnson. Sister Drequanza Johnson.
Grandmother, Phyllis (Hosey) Sanders. Uncles; Jimmy (Yuane), Tyrece
(CeCe) Moreland, Dennis and Anthony (Ruthie) Johnson. Aunts; Yuane,
Fabian (George); Forbran Johnson, Sofia, and Alicia. Great Aunts, Annie
Louis, Rebecca, Terrotha, Sandra, Shirley and Connie. Nephew, Richard.
Logan shines in the hearts of the "SOMANY SO CLOSE" other family
members, and a host of friends forever. Special friend and mother of son,
Destini. He is gone but never forgotten.
