Life & Legacy
of Lloyd Wilson, Jr.


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Ephesians 1:3

Lloyd Wilson, Jr. the 5th of 13 children was born to Mr. Lloyd Wilson, Sr. and Mrs. Vera Wilson on August 20, 1956 at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, Florida.

Lloyd began his early education at Booker Park Elementary School in Indiantown, Florida. After completing his primary education in the public schools of Martin County. Lloyd, graduated with the class of 1975 at Martin County High School. During this time Mr. Wilson was an active participant in the Chorus, earning All State accomplishment as a Tenor vocalist. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Martin County Fighting Tigers Cheerleading Team. After leaving high school Lloyd attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama receiving a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Music Education. During his educational career at Stillman, Lloyd toured and performed in over 15 states, which also included Mexico. During his college years he pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., as well as becoming a member of Future Business Leaders of America. Lloyd was above average student, excelling in all that he did. He kept a 3.5 or better average in college. While in college Lloyd was curious about flying. He entered into the Air Force Reserve, went on to be inducted into the Selma Alabama Air Force Academy to become a airplane pilot, graduating head of class, he received his wings as an Air Force Airman, continued to be on the reserve list for the next four years, and came out with an honorable discharge. From Selma Alabama Airforce Academy with the rank of "Captain", now you know where "Sir Captain" came from. Even after college he continued his music career and became a member music of a band, "The Montgomery Express" traveling all over Florida and Georgia. They went on to release their first album.

After returning home Lloyd was employed with the Indiantown Non-Profit Housing, where he learned many skills. Shortly after he endeavor to expand his wings and started his own business, utilizing his closest friends and his brothers, crating Wilson Brothers and Associated Construction Company. Lloyd always said that he had the master plan, le loved his work and always gave every job 110 percent.

He later became the owner of Dixie Fried Chicken of Indiantown, Florida. He continued to invest and own other businesses in his career.

Lloyd was truly a man of mystery there will always be so much about him, we would never know one thing for sure once you meet him you would never forget him.

Lloyd received the Lord as his personal Savior at an very early age. After becoming an adult, he joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. T.G. Bess Pastor. Lloyd joined the choir and conduct many of their concerts. Where he used his skills of not only singing, but playing many different musical instruments.

On Saturday, October 31, 2105, the Lord called him home at Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Wilson, Sr. grandfather, Jimmy L. Webster, Sr., grandmother, Marie T. Jackson, three brothers, Johnny Wilson, Jimmy Webster and David Wilson, as sister, Marie Glenn and a niece, Shimel McIntyre.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving wife, Carolyn Wilson of West Palm Beach, FL; a loving mother, Vera Mae Wilson of Port St. Lucie, FL; three children: Carletta, Lloyd III, Christopher, Sr.; grandchildren: Christopher, Jr., Cymia, Caliah, Crishya, Tyson, Isabella, Diamond, Amariya, Ashanti

adopted children: Kennard, Kenneth, Telvin, Antavious,; adopted grandchildren: Destini, Takoda, Tashya, Dynesha, Azariah, Kira, Josiah; three caring brothers: Leroy Wilson, Anthony (Lora) Wilson and pastor Jack B. (Wydeena) Wilson, Sr.; five caring sisters: Edna Webster, Leatha Webster, Patricia Webster, Viola Wilson, Lasonda (Eugene) Smith; sister-in-law: Dorothy Wilson; special aunt: Marie W. Dunbar of Augusta, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
