Linval Edwards affectionately called (Osmond or Uncle Lin) was born on May 22 ^nd 1945 to Ivey Pitter-Crawford and Sylvester Edwards in Knock Patrick Manchester, Jamaica. He departed this life on October18th 2018 at 2:27am at the Trust Bridge Hospice Care in Palm Beach Florida.   In his formative years, he attended Snowden All Age School up to the 9 ^th grade.  He was a member of the Vineyard 7 ^th Day Church of God Int'l Ministries at 630 South Main Street, Belle Glade Florida.

As a young man, Linval worked as a farmer and a mason to support his family in Jamaica. In 1974, Linval migrated to the United States of America where he worked as a farm worker with US Sugar in Florida.  In the year 2004 at the age of 59 years, he retired from US Sugar and started working for himself selling produce such as water melon and corn from his truck.  Linval would sometimes purchase loads of water melon or corn and travel to Tampa to sell his produce.  Linval was also a handy man who goes around doing paint jobs for people he knew as well as doing small scale renovations on houses. Linval had a love for the sport of cricket and was always seen wearing a cap.

Linval was a very friendly person. He was also very kind and generous and was always willing to share with others whatever he had. He enjoyed talking about the old days in Jamaica and would often ask his children about people he had left in Jamaica. Linval loved musical instruments and would often play his guitar.  During Linval's final days, he would always tell his son Dwayne whenever he visits him that he was pulling into the station; He would often say "The Lord told me that I did not have long left on this earth". During one conversation he had with his daughter Deon, he told her that the bible said that the years of a man are three score years and ten (70 years) and by reason of strength he lived longer. He stated he had lived to see 73 years and his time was at hand. Linval was very accepting of his impending death and often talked about the Lord. He never showed any fear of death and stated that, "He knew this time would come."

He was preceded in death by his father Sylvester Edwards; mother Ivey Pitter -Crawford, Sister Ralda Edwards, brothers, Frank Molton, Sylvester Green and Arthur Edwards.

He left behind to mourn his five children, Hopeton Edwards, Deon Edwards, Dwayne Edwards, Cebert Edwards and Venise Edwards-Parrish (Willie Parrish Jr.), 5 grandchildren Kemardo (Lukie), Mikayla, Willie (Tray), Ley-Shae and  Jordan . In addition, he left behind one brother Vincent Edwards (Feddy), one sister Violet Edwards and a host of nieces and nephews to include Pansy Stephens (favorite niece) and Herman Green (favorite nephew); two god-daughters Fran Edmond and Jefteria Smith  as well as friends and church family who positively impacted his life. He will be greatly missed.
