Linda Scott Allen was born to the union of George Scott and Essie Mae Scott on January 8, 1956 in Pahokee, Florida. She received Christ at an early age under the leadership of Bishop Byrd and Mother Byrd at The Christ Church of Universal Love located in Belle Glade, Florida.
She was educated at Glades Central High School in Belle Glade, Florida. Upon completion of her high school years, she immediately entered the workforce as a Migrant Farm Worker in her hometown of Belle Glade, Florida. In her later years, she relocated to Riviera Beach, Florida. She established a career with The Department of Veterans Affairs where she provided 18 years of service at the local Veteran's Hospital in Riviera Beach. In 2022, she retired from the Veterans Hospital and received several service awards for her hard work and dedication to the organization.
Linda leaves to cherish her husband Maurice Allen of Dade County, Florida. She also leaves to cherish the father of her two children, Bobby Earl Jones Senior of Belle Glade, Florida. Additionally, she leaves to Cherish her two beautiful adult children. The oldest is Bobby Jones of West Palm Beach, Florida. The baby is Barbara Jones of Belle Glade, Florida. Linda also leaves to cherish a host of grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Linda leaves to cherish one living Aunt Marie Williams of Davie, Florida.
Linda leaves to cherish the following siblings: Chester Humphrey (Tampa, FL), Steve Scott (Tampa, FL), Joyce (Richard) Jernigan (Orlando, FL), Queena (Willie) Anthony (Orlando, FL), Deena Scott (Orlando, FL), London B. Davis (Belle Glade, FL), Zeta June: Sister-in-Law (Orlando, FL).
Linda had 5 siblings that preceded her in death and 1 sister-in-law that preceded her in death. Johnny B. June, Betty Jean Davis, Rhonda Scott, James Lee Scott, Bernadina Scott, and Charlene Davis (Sister-in-Law).
Linda leaves a host of nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a host of cousins, too many to name.
