Lillie B. Day's Obituary
Lillie Bell Day was born on June 11, 1926 in Alapaha, Berrien County, GA - the daughter of the late Abner Jr. and Rebecca Day.
The family moved to Tifton, GA during her early childhood. They later moved to the Belle Glade, FL area where she worked in various agriculture segments for over 50 years.
Her favorite pastime was fishing with her family and friends and recalling stories of life in GA.
As a young lady she joined New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor O.D. Williams; she continued her membership under Rev. Robert F. Hairston, III, her current pastor. Over the years, she served with the Ushers, Sunday School, and missions faithfully until her health began declining.
Lillie Bell departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abner and Rebecca Day; brothers Charlie Day (Quincey); Isaiah Day "Boy Day" (Nellie "Dimp"); sisters: Hattie Byrd (Willie); Lizzie Mae Benjamin (P. J.); Leola "Skinny" Williams (Willie "Jr.").
She leaves to cherish her memory, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, her New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church family and friends.
