Pierre Letroy Opont was born on August 3, 1933, in Haiti. He peacefully entered eternal rest on March 6, 2026.

Pierre was united in marriage to Valentine Cesar on January 20, 1962. Their loving union endured for 58 years, until her passing. He was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Prophecy for over 40 years, serving under the leadership of Pastor Michele Joseph.

Over 40 years ago, Pierre made Belle Glade, Florida his home, where he worked diligently as a field worker. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and deep commitment to both his family and his faith.

Pierre leaves to cherish his loving memory: his son, Samson; daughter-in-law, Nina Opönt; and his beloved grandchildren, Nickholson-Buckie and Samontha of Virginia. He is also remembered by his children: Sergio, Rosemary, Natasha, and Patricia (who preceded him in death), along with ten grandchildren.

He also leaves behind a devoted church family and a caring nursing home family who shared in his journey and extended him love and support.
