Leroy Williams was born August 10, 1938 to the late Milton and Beatrice Williams in Lakeland, Florida.

He was educated in Polk County and later relocated to Pahokee, Florida. Leroy was employed with Glades Sugar Mill for many years.

On July 14, 1997 Leroy joined Ernestine Duckworth in holy matrimony. He was a member of New Life Tabernacle UPC where he was baptized January 13, 2019 in Belle Glade, Florida under the leadership of Pastor Otis Garmon.


Leroy entered eternal rest on June 19, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, five siblings, six children: Mary F. Jelks, Gloria Williams, Helen L. Williams, Roy Lee Williams, Elizabeth Williams, and Leroy Jr. Williams.

Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Ernestine Williams of Pahokee, FL; children: Terry Smith of Pahokee, FL, Gloria Williams (Tyron) of Belle Glade, FL, Beatrice Evans (James) of South Bay, FL, Milton Williams (Susie) of West Palm Beach, FL, Anthony Williams (Erika) of Tallahassee, FL, Shirley A. Williams of Pahokee, FL, Anthony J. Williams (Kenisha) of Pahokee, FL, Clement L. Williams (Condilisa) of North Carolina, Leroy S. Williams (Joeneria) of Pahokee, FL; one sister: Lula Pearl Payne of Lakeland, FL; 33 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren; (2) god-daughters: Susan Robertson, Debra Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
