A Time To Be Born:

The Late Leroy Benjamin, Jr. was born on January 26, 1964, to the late Mr. Leroy Benjamin, Sr. and Christeen Kearse Benjamin in Belle Glade, Florida.  Leroy was preceded in transition by his Parents and older Sister, Sabrina Patrice Myrick.

A Time to Live:

Leroy, a rambunctious dreamer, played semi-professional football with the Glades Central Raiders HS Football team, he was a member of the Earth, Wind and Fire R &  B Group in the guise of trying to play his saxophone with the Mighty Maroon Machine Marching Band, graduating with the Class of 1982.  Leroy served his "Tour of Duty" in the US Army, frequently calling home to let Mom know that "they were trying to kill him with all of the uphill walks!"  We Thank him for his service.  Leroy was able to live out most of his dreams through his many years of truck driving and traveling cross country.  An avid Dallas Cowboys Lover, Sometimes Fisherman, Consummate Storyteller and Jokester, Leroy was indeed popular among his friends and family.  Never, did he meet a stranger.

A Time to Love:

Leroy spent the last 34 years of his life, living, loving and raising his family with his attentive, supportive and loving wife, Arlene.  Leroy is survived by: three daughters,  Jessica  (Jimmy) Brown of  Hanesville, AL,  Meka  Mincey (Marcus) of Pahokee, FL,  Tara Benjamin (Henry) of West Palm Beach, FL; three sons, Albert Moreland of West Palm Beach, FL,  Leroy Benjamin III (Etosha) of  Belle Glade, FL,  Isaiah Goring of West Palm Beach, FL: 11 Grandchildren:  two sisters, Cheryl  (Craig) Tomlin, Lydia (Gregory) Beckford six uncles, nine aunts, his special cousin, Garvins Michel Jr; ;nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends

Special Mention to those who greatly impacted and shaped his life include:  The Brothers: Willie Lawrence, Robert Vickers and James McGriff. Uncle Daddies: Nick Benjamin and Hasten (Tibbie) Kearse. The Class of 1982, The Florida State Seminoles, and Host of Cousin Brothers and Cousin Sisters he met in his lifetime.  He held you all in such a place of love and high regard so be ever encouraged and know that you were loved.
