Larry Jerome Ellick known to family and friends as "Gabby" was born July 15, 1949 in Belle Glade, Florida to the late James T. Ellick and Mary Dunlap Ellick. Larry grew up in the Glades Tri-City area, he graduated from Lake Shore High School where he received his High School Diploma in Belle Glade, Florida. After Larry's high school graduation, he joined the United States Army. Larry later became a member of The Inspirational Church of God under the leadership of the late Reverend Johnny W. Johnson Sr. and he attended church until he relocated in the tri-city and his health failed.

Larry leaves to cherish his memories: his sisters, Mellon Baker of Orlando, FL, Debra Ellick of Homestead, FL; brother, Casper Ellick of Canal Point, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his brothers: Alford Ellick Sr., James T. Ellick and William Leroy Ellick; sisters: Margaret Peavy, Martha Brown and Hattie Ruth Redding.
