Johnnie Gant Jr, 67 of Okeechobee Fl passed in peace on July 20, 2021.

Johnnie was born in Greensville, South Carolina to the late Johnnie Gant Sr and Lula Mae Gant. He excelled in the Okeechobee County school system and later developed the love of working with tools and being a handyman.

Johnnie worked over 45 years in management in the retail industry at U-Save and other grocery chains in Okeechobee and other surrounding counties where he made many lasting friendships and touched many people's hearts with his genuine personality and humbleness.

After retiring Johnnie was lovingly known as the local handyman in the area where he graciously shared his knowledge of tools and handy work and willingly  lended a hand to anyone who needed his help.

Johnnie served God in his actions. He showed mercy and kindness to everyone he came across. He was a true angel to his community. He was a role model and father figure to many and will be forever remembered for his generosity and kind spirit.  Johnnie loved spending time with his grandchildren  and they meant the world to him.

Johnnie's memories will be cherished and kept alive by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years Juanita Gant. His three daughters Gwendolyn (Gant) Boswell, Alicia (Corwin) Myrie, and Latarsha (Tyron) Fuse and son Johnnie Gant III(deceased); brother David Gant; and sisters Rosa Henderson(deceased) , Lafaye Rozenia Enfinger, and Lonita Rena(Todd) Mcarthur, 16 grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sister in laws, brother in laws and sorrowing friends.
