Jimmy "Sporty Bill" Moreland woke to his sunrise on July 30, 1930, in Williamson (Pike County) Georgia, and entered into peaceful rest on his sunset October 5, 2017.  He was born to Mamie Milner (deceased) of Concord, GA., and Willie Green of Homestead, FL.

Cherishing his memory include his beautiful wife of 70 years, Lillie Mae Moreland, who is truly a Proverbs 31 virtuous woman, who was totally submitted and committed to Jimmy, serving him faithfully and never leaving his side until his departure.  Also cherishing his loving memory include his children; Annie Moreland-Wilson (Don) of Trenton, FL; Jimmy Moreland II (Mildred) of Griffin, GA; Jessie Moreland (Winnie); Terotha Moreland; Sonya Lynn Moreland; Carl Moreland (deceased) (Tara); Sandra Rainey (JC), all from West Palm Beach, FL; Tyrone Moreland (Dorothy); Marion Moreland (Deceased); and Rebecca Moreland, all from Belle Glade, FL; and a special granddaughter, Alicia Wilson (Steven) of Belle Glade, FL.  "Sporty" Bill had a host of grandchildren and a special love for all of his sons and grandsons!

Jimmy was employed by Huntley & Buddy farms, where he worked for many years.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a wonderful provider.  He was also an avid fisherman, enjoying bridge fishing over the years and feeding his family with the fish he caught.  Jimmy was a humble man with a great heart for helping and serving others.  He was a "jack" of many trades, but was best known by many as the "neighborhood mechanic."  He never ran upon something he couldn't fix; if he had his tools, he would fix it!

Jimmy "Sporty Bill" Moreland will truly be missed but never forgotten.  The family is truly grateful for and would like to acknowledge USA Home Care nurses, Mary and Lynn; the Alzheimer's Community Center, Jolena and Nurse More, and CSI Marie (CNA), and the countless number of relatives and friends for all their love and support.
