Janie Yarns, was born the third child to the late Nelson and Janie Yarns on August 27, 1950 in Bottega, New York. Janie affectionately known as Ms. Lady was raised in Belle Glade, Florida. On July 1, 2022, Janie went home to be with the Lord with her family by her bed side at Palm West Hospital. She was married to the late James Corley Sr. and worked at Duda Farms for many years. She was a faithful and dedicated worker. She worked dutifully until she was promoted to supervisor.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend O.D. Williams and served faithfully. She later moved her fellowship to Youth Crusade Deliverance Church under the leadership of Bishop Lee Arthur Humphrey. In 2018, she carried out her mission at New Zion Holiness Church under Pastor Charles Moorer. She touched many lives on her spiritual journey and the community in which she lived. She loved helping others and spending time with her family was her passion.
As she rest in her heavenly home, she is now united with her family who preceded her in death. Her parents: Nelson and Janie Yarns; sister: Ollie Mae McCants; Son: Willie Young; granddaughter: Wildrena Young; Husband: James Corley, Sr. and Best Friend: Armisha Dent
Janie leaves behind her countless loved ones and her legacy: (2) Sons: Wilbert Fields and Gregory Yarns (Shametra); (3) Brothers: Hercules Yarns, John Yarns (Lois) and Johnny B. Reynolds; (8) Granchildren: Wilkeshia Young, T'Yana Young, Lesha Young, Celeste Yarns, Willenia Little, Gregory Yarns Jr., Tionni Brown, and Jariyas Anderson; she also leaves (7) Great-Grandchildren; (3) God-Children: Eric Seymore, Corey Jenkins and Ty'Kera Moreland; (6) Bothers-in-Laws; (4) Sisters-in-Laws; Special Friends: Ethel Williams and Betty Crawford and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Special Thank You to Antionette Corley for the special role you played.
