James Gulley, affectionately known as "Brother" by family and friends was born July 19, 1945, in Belle Glade, Florida to the late Viola Dempsey (Clarence) and James Gulley.

He was employed by U.S. Sugar for over 20 years before retiring.

On July 10, 2024, James "Brother" Gulley entered eternal life. He is preceded in death by his 2 sisters, Lizzie Mae Tillman and Maybelle Gulley; aunt: Elizabeth Grantlin (Willie); 2 nieces: Goddie Bell Hodges, Emma Lee Dukes; 2 nephews: Alphonso Hodges (Florence) and Lavar Gulley.

Loved ones left to cherish fond memories; He will be missed by his life partner of 44 years Regina Carter; his son: Jermaine Gulley Sr.; 3 grandchildren: Jermaine Gulley Jr, Ja'Marian Gulley, Jacorian Gulley all of West Palm Beach, FL; 2 step-daughters: Ceondra Smith, Dileasha Pauline (Kevin) of Orlando, FL; 2 sisters: Jacquelyn McCrary (Oscar), Lattie Mae Gulley Cannon; his brother: Curly Gulley; 5 nieces: Elizabeth Benton (Ronald), Viola Laidle, Cheryl Mckevor (Bruce), Coresia McCrary, Patrina McCrary; 9 nephews: Lloyd Hodges, Willie Tillman, Ricky Tillman (Audrey), Arthur Burnett (Chavella), Oscar McCrary (Dariel), Darren McCrary, Jarvis Gulley, Darryl Gulley, Anthony Cannon. James also leaves a host of bonus grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.
