James Lee Boswell Sr. was born on April 1, 1941 in Okeechobee, Florida to the late Frank and Mary Boswell. James was educated in the Okeechobee County School System.
James met Lottie Spencer in 1958 and they married in 1959. In their union they raised nine children in a loving home in Dean's Court. James was employed as a laborer at Attaway Lumber Company for many years and later worked at W&W Lumber where he retired. James was a Deacon at First Missionary Baptist Church for many years and was a pillar in his community.
James will forever be remembered by his loving wife, Lottie Boswell; his eight children: Ricky Boswell, Kenny Spencer, Wanda Tilley (William), James Boswell Jr., Marilyn Perkins (Jerome), Tracy Boswell, Carnell Boswell (Yiandria); his siblings: Willie Frank Boswell, Wiley Boswell (Bertha), Doretha Hamilton, Gladys Paxton, Harry Boswell, Ronnie Boswell, Cassie Boswell, and Simon Boswell.
James leaves behind thirty grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Boswell; his Brothers: David Boswell, Johnny Boswell, Robert Boswell; and his daughter Dyette Spencer Snell.
