Ida Mae Sims' Obituary
Ida Mae Johnson Sims was the fifth child of six born to the late Edgar Johnson and Martha Jones on August 24, 1922 in Eupora, Mississippi. She grew up in St. Louis, Missouri.
In June 1941, Ida Mae Johnson united in Holy Matrimony with Mr. Frank Jones until his death in February of 1990. This union was blessed with one daughter, Linda. In 1949 she relocated to Belle Glade, Florida. Ida Mae was the Co-Owner of Jones Trucking/ Agriculture.
Ida Mae married Mr. James Elester Sims in May 1994 this union lasted until his death in March 1998.
On Sunday, February 26, 2017 Ida Mae Sims trasitioned from labor to eternal rest.
Mrs. Ida Mae Johnsons Sims leaves fond memories with her only daughter, Linda Jones Davis (O.C. Davis); her three loving grandchildren: Yamia Kleckley-Whipple (Derrick Whipple), Ajamere Kleckley, Breanna Davis-Sallah (Babou Sallah); her four great grandchildren: Bryce Whipple, Chayse Whipple, Aston Kleckley, and Dylan Whipple; a special niece: Avis Quarrles; A host of other relatives in St Louis, MO, Indianapolis IN, The Cotton and Douglas family of McComb, MS and friends.
