Our beloved Herman "Soup" Padgett was born to the late Lawrence and Mable Padgett on January 20, 1949, in Belle Glade, Florida. Graduated from Lake Shore Junior Senior High School class of 1968. Herman accepted Christ at an early age. He attended New Bethel Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. Herman worked at Okeelanta Sugar Mill, and Goodyear Tire Service until he retired.

On August 16, 2023, Herman answered the Master's call to take his final rest from this world. Herman was proceeded in death by his parents Lawrence and Mable Padgett, brother Lawrence Padgett Jr., and sister Virginia White.

Herman is survived by the love of his life Lorraine Padgett Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two daughters: Tamerial Padgett-Jackson (Floyd) Austin, TX, Tekelia Padgett West Palm Beach, FL; brother: Nathaniel Padgett Sr. Belle Glade, FL; sister: Lucille Padgett-Lester (Harvey) Belle Glade, FL; nephew: Nathaniel Padgett (Tammie), four nieces: Lanell Hardwell (Samuel), Latanya White-Richards (James), Toni Padgett-Williams (Sam), and Nikki Lester-Huggins; four grandchildren: Breanna Jackson, Kayla Jackson, Seriya Prince and Ahmad Prince; one great grandson: King Legend Walls and a host family, loveones and friends.
