Harold Bernard Stewart
April 14, 1966 - March 22, 2026

Harold Bernard Stewart, lovingly known as "Gator," was born on April 14, 1966, in Belle Glade, Florida, to Mary Frances "Ms. Cindy" Moore. He received his education in the local school system and attended Glades Central High School. In his early 30s, Harold relocated to Lincoln, Nebraska, where he continued to build his life and legacy.

Harold was the fifth of six children. He was preceded in death by three siblings: Albertis "Egg" Durant (2019), Gregory "4Trey" Steward (2026), and David "Bubba Duke" Stewart (2020). He leaves to cherish his memory his loving siblings, Vincent Stewart and Irene "Nett" Webley.

A devoted family man, Harold was known for his generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need. He had a deep love for children and poured his heart into every young life he encountered, leaving a lasting impression on many.

Harold shared a loving and committed relationship of 15 years with his life partner, Desirae Chapman. He was a proud father to eight children: Antunette Akila Stewart, Torvares Jermaine Stewart, Jalisa Nicole Frederick, Jalichia Raquel Frederick, Amanda La'Shunda Butts (William James Butts III), Berneishia Lashay Stewart, Khalia Monique Westphal, and Zyaire Ma'Kai Westphal. He also embraced Isaiah Malik Westphal as a bonus son, along with four devoted stepdaughters.

His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Jamarion Isiah Walker, Jasmine Monae Butts, Jakhari Tyrese Bolivar, Jaliyah Alanee Bolivar, Chanel Unique Butts, Kelsey Lashay Butts, William James Butts IV, Willie Lee Butts, Emina Jade Claypool, and Jalani Ke'orie Jones, as well as five step-grandchildren.

Harold will be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved him dearly.

If you knew Harold, you knew his loyalty ran deep—especially when it came to his favorite teams. He was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Florida Gators, proudly representing both with passion.

Though he is no longer with us in the flesh, his love, laughter, and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
