A Time To Born:

Ms. Gwendolyn "Happy" White was born on November 18, 1951 to the late Ms. Luvenia White Bethel and the late Mr. Anthony Joseph Roberts in Chester, Georgia.

A Time To Be Educated:

Gwendolyn attended East Lake High School in Pahokee, Florida. Upon graduation she attended Southern University in Baton Rogue, LA and ultimately attained her Bachelor's degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, August 24, 1979. "Happy" completed her student teaching at Jupiter Elementary School while working at Canal Point Elementary School. She later obtained a teaching position at Canal Point Elementary School, where she worked as a third grade teacher until 1994. In 1994 "Happy" transferred to Manatee Elementary School and worked as a third grade teacher until she retired in 2012. Gwendolyn faithfully served third grade students in the School District of Palm Beach County for thirty-seven years. In addition to working as a full time teacher, Gwendolyn worked as a Phlebotomy and EKG Technician at Everglades Regional Medical Center. She also taught Phlebotomy at West Technical Education Center from 1991-1994.

A Time To Worship:
Gwen grew up in the New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and later New Kingdom Missionary Baptist Church pastored by her grandfather, Rev. Frank Williams. In later years she became a devoted member of Harvest AME Church of Pahokee, Florida where she continued to worship until her last date of attendance on November 15, 2015! That day she worshiped with the full heart of Christ!

A Time To Plant:
Gwendolyn was the mother of three beautiful children, two daughters, Angela Denise Williams of New Port Coast, California, Anne Marie Williams Dorsey of Royal Palm Beach, Florida and one son Michael Anthony Williams of Tallahassee, Florida.

Transition to Life Everlasting:
Gwendolyn was hospitalized Friday, December 4, 2015 after years of battling Alzheimer's Disease and Breast Cancer. She departed her Earthly home on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 3:45 am and graduated to Heaven.
"Happy" was preceded in death by her mother Luvenia Bethel, her father Anthony Joseph Roberts, her brother David Ray Thomas and ex-husband Norman Lee Williams and grandparents who helped to raise, educate, and mold her, Pastor Frank Williams and Drucilla Williams.

Gwendolyn "Happy" Williams leaves to mourn:

Her nickname was "Happy" and she exuded her nickname in her physical and inner beauty! She touched the lives of many and we are grateful to have shared her with so many third graders, co-workers, friends, and relatives.

She leaves to mourn daughters Angela Denise Williams of New Port Coast, CA; Anne Marie Williams Dorsey (Wenfred) of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, son Michael Anthony Williams (Linda) of Tallahassee, Florida; grandsons Dwight Williams of West Palm Beach, Florida and Scottie Taylor Jr. of Montgomery, Alabama, twin granddaughters Demi and Zoe Dorsey of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, great-grandson Rhashaud Taylor, of South Bay, Florida, brother "E" Taylor Roberts, Nassau, Bahamas, sisters Gwendolyn Bell-Montgomery (Uncle Boe) of Jupiter, Florida, Stella Roberts-Poindexter (Kim) of San Francisco, CA, Davin Thomas of Richmond, Virginia, Nova Robinson (Phelan) of Arlington, Virginia, and Maria Frazier (Craig) of Nassau, Bahamas, Aunts Adelaide Ferguson and Bethia Bullard of Grand, Bahamas, Nephew David Ray Thomas Jr. of Panama City, Florida, second mother and life-long neighbor and family friend Margaret Peterkin, Pahokee, Florida, special sister friends Mattie Crawford, Shirley Everett, Pastor Patricia Wallace, Louise Allen, and all of her sisters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, especially Mary Evans and Robbie-Nell Everett, special student Kiana Pate and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
