"Greg's life would seem too short to many, for those of us who were touched by him, understand that the quality of his existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which he lived."

Greg was born June 6, 1970 in Belle Glade, Florida to James and Ernestine Mitchell, He was the oldest of four siblings.

Greg attended Belle Glade Elementary, Lake Shore Middle and Glades Central Community High School in Belle Glade, Florida. He went on to further his education at Taft University in California, later transferring to Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida.

Greg was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Moderator Lionel F. Camel.

On May 8, 2021 Greg entered eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his grandmother: Altemese Owens; aunts: Judy Shutterfield, Cathey Owens, Idell Simmons; uncles: Bobby Shutterfield, Joe Mitchell and his nephew, Henry "Scooter" Bennett.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories one son, Greg Mitchell Jr.; mother and father: James and Ernestine Mitchell; his high school sweetheart, college lover and life long soulmate: Pamela D. Clark; two brothers: James Mitchell, Jabari Mitchell, three sisters: Felicia Mitchell, Melissa Mitchell, and Jamesha Mitchell; aunts: Ida Mae Owens, Ella Mae Rivers, Georgiana Mitchell; uncles: James Owens Jr., Ernest Mitchell (Linda); godchildren: Johnny Young, Jamine Butts; Extended family: Robert & Claudette Clark; Ashley Robles (special daughter), Lewis, Cornelius Sr., Robin (Donavon), Cornelius Jr., Lavelle, Getoya, Janaishja, Sky; special friend: Isaiah and a host of devoted and loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
