Gladys was born April 14,1941 to the late Major and Hattie McGriff in South Bay, Fl.

Raised in Belle Glade, Okeechobee Center also known as the Projects. Gladys attended public schools in Palm Beach County.

Traveling from state to state with her family, growing up doing agriculture work. Gladys continued working in the agriculture fields for many years. While working, she met her friend, Wadeland Cameron Sr. and they were joined in Holy matrimony on June 3, 1963. Soon after she stopped doing field work and began driving buses for Okeelanta Cooperation until she retired. During her tenure with Okeelanta, she really enjoyed it as it allowed her to meet many different people and create great friendships that lasted throughout her life.

Having a strong desire and love for God, Gladys joined and attended St Paul Church of God in Christ, Belle Glade Florida under the leadership of Superintendent Clarence Brown; where she was faithful until her transition. She was also an OES member for many years.

Gladys had several hobbies but the one thing she loved most was fishing with her sister Carolyn; they would fish from sunup to sundown. As time passed and her health did not allow her to fish, spending time with her grandchildren and watching shows like Wagon Train, Gun Smoke and Soap Operas became her favorite past time. When General Hospital and several others were on, there was absolutely NO talking.

Gladys was loved by all, with her smart wit and sharp tongue. She always had a word for you and did not hold back, she would say it and beat you laughing. She loved her grandchildren dearly and there was never a day you would go to her house and some of her grandchildren were not there.

Gladys was preceded in death by her Parents: Major & Hattie, Children: Wadeland Jr. and Quintella (Ann); Sisters: Lucille, Gwendolyn (Pat), Carolyn, Jean Ellen; Brothers: Fred, and Carlton Sr.

To cherish Gladys' precious memories and legacy are, her son: Antoney Cameron Sr. Grandchildren: Carthia, Kinstavias, Waneisha, Robert, Chineshia, Quintella, Antoniqua, Tonie, Antoney Jr., Charity, Josiah and Tamarrie, 17 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who all are feeling this great loss to the family.
