Obituary
Gladstone Morris, was born to Henry and Ethline Morris (nee Lewis) in the district of New Roads, Westmoreland, Jamaica, on Sunday October 14, 1934. He received his formal education at the New Roads All Age. Later, the family relocated to the district of Castle Mountain in Westmoreland.
As a young boy, he learned the skills of life early. He had a special love for gardening which lead him to be employed at US Sugar Corporation in Clewiston, Florida. He worked with the said company for thirty-five years, and he became an expert in processing different grades of sugar. He was very dedicated in whatever he did. In those 35 years of employment at US Sugar, he was never absent nor late! During his tenure at US Sugar he received many certificates, awards, and incentives.
On one of his many visits to Jamaica, he met Lucille Tomlinson, whom he married on Friday, June 18, 1976. Eventually, she along with their five children relocated and joined him in Belle Glade, Florida. Later on, their union produced a son, Dave.
The highlight of his week was assembling with his church family for worship on Sundays. Gladstone passed away on Wednesday evening, November 11, 2015 while his pastor visited with him.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille, children Pauline, Dave, Monica, Castro, Steve, Caulean, and Mauvalin, sisters, brother, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
